Makeup H A U L ♥‿♥

Saturday, 8 March 2014

After a looooong time of not buying anything (due to being broke), I was *finally* able to splurge a little on some make up!
The joys of pay day.

So here it is, my recent make up purchases from the past week or so:

(Left to Right)

EOS Lipbalms: I've bought these before (on eBay) & I loved them. These little egg shaped beauties are 100% natural & 95% organic. This packet of four has the following flavours: Strawberry sorbet, Sweet mint (my fav), Summer fruit & Honeysuckle Honeydew. I bought this set for about $13 at Costco.

Maybelline 24 Hr Powder: A back up purchase of my favourite powder ever. Priceline $14.

ELF blush in Twinkle Pink & Peachy Keen: There has been a recent introduction of Elf brand cosmetics to Kmart stores around Australia & I've been so excited to finally have the opportunity to try out their products. I waited and waited until my local Kmart finally stocked the brand & I chose these two blushes as my first purchases. They were $8 each.

NYX HD concealer & Wonder Pencil (both in light): NYX is another American brand that has become available on our shores & I've slowly been trying some of their products. I bought these off of eBay because my local Target has sold out of both & I needed a new concealer & nude pencil. The concealer was $8 & the Wonder Pencil was $9.50.

Essie Nail Polish in Lilacism: I am a fan of Essie, a really big fan at that. In my recent Priceline Sister Club member letter, I received an extra 'perk' of $4 off an Essie nail colour. After much deliberation with Gideon about which colour to choose, I finally chose this lovely lilac colour. It was $9 after using the coupon.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation: Lauren Curtis (Laurenbeautyy on Youtube) raves about this foundation. My favourite foundation is the Nutri Lift Gold by L'Oreal so I thought I should give this one a go based on the awesome reviews it gets. So far I am loving it. I had a $10 off coupon from Priceline so I paid $20 (I think) for it.

L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Hourglass Beige: Judy from itsjudyslife & itsjudytime looooves these eye shadows & I love her videos and reviews. I thought I'd give this a shot & honestly, its so highly pigmented and amazing. Totally recommend these.

Essence Colour Pigment in Inti Inka: I love Essence products & I was super excited to see a new collection (Tribal Summer) at my local target. I picked up this lovely beige-y shade to make some wearable everyday eye looks for work. I love it & the product is highly pigmented. I paid $4.90 for this product.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water: I've admitted in the past how lazy I am at looking after my skin. I always forget to remove my make up before bed, & wake up with panda eyes & dry skin. It's the worst. Since discovering this amazing product, I can finally reveal that I am remembering to remove my make up only because I love to see this product in action. Initially I just thought I was purchasing glorified water BUT it removes everything & every trace of make up from my face. There are no harsh chemicals, making it safe for all skin types. This is my favourite product out of my entire make up haul! I bought it for $11 at Woolworths.

Those are all the products I've recently bought from Woolies, Kmart, Target & Priceline. I must say it has been sooooo nice to be able to buy things again, haha. Hooray for being employed!

What have you bought this month that you are absolutely loving?

(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ Birthday Perfume Haul

Tuesday, 26 November 2013

I received a lot of perfume for my birthday and I think my husband and family got the message across.

Nah, just kidding. I collect perfume, and have for many years. I looooove it & hopefully one day I'll get to put on a lab coat and create my own personal perfume called 'Clarissa'. One can dream.

Anyway, here is the entire perfume collection I was so generously given on my birthday!

1. Burberry Body: I have been wanting this for years but could never bring myself to buy it because it is so expensive. Thankfully for Gideon he could and he surprised me with it when he came home from work on my birthday. I loooove it! It will be my signature scent for summer. It had fresh green apple complimenting green absinthe and peach with floral heart notes and warm base notes of woody cashmeran, vanilla and amber.

2. Brit by Burberry: Another 'cannot justify the price' perfume. Gideon bought this for me during the 40% off fragrance sale at Priceline & it is just so fresh! I love it. It has top notes of green almond, pear and lime complementing the white peony and sugared almond scent. It also has warm undertones of mahogany, amber and vanilla heart notes.

3. Rose by Paul Smith: I wore this perfume on my wedding day so it has a lot of sentimental value to me. It isn't very easy to find so when we do find it, we buy it. Gideon bought it for me from Cosmo Cosmetics on George St in the city. It smells like roses. Beautiful. More specifically, it had top notes of violet and rose, with heart notes of turkish rose and magnolia. And finally, it has base notes of cedarwood and musk.

4. The Key by Justin Bieber: I love celebrity perfumes and Justin Bieber, I must admit, makes a good fragrance. Gideon bought these for me during the 40% off fragrances sale again aaaaand he bought me 2 of them because it's that good. It has top notes of fruity floral musk, heart notes of juicy fruit and base notes of vanilla and precious woods.

5. Strawberry Body Mist by The Body Shop: I sprayed this on myself months ago and I literally fell in love with the smell. It is gorgeous and sweet, just like a strawberry. And, just like the name suggests, it smells like you've put your face in a whole case full of strawberries. So gooood.

6. Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Mist by The Body Shop: This scent is just so pretty and light. I love spraying this in my hair to keep it smelling lovely throughout the day. Just like the Strawberry Body Mist, this is all natural and sweet. Really recommend these body mists!

I love all of the fragrances I was given on my birthday and they're lovely additions to my ever growing collection!

What's your signature scent right now?

♡♡ IMATS Sydney 2013 || Make Up Haul Time! ♡♡

Tuesday, 24 September 2013

One of the only reasons I went to IMATS was to buy stuff. Yepp. I said it.

I am sometimes fed up with the ridiculous shipping costs us Aussie make-up lovers have to endure. Not to mention waiting for orders to ship, dealing with tracking numbers that don't work and missing out on a lot of overly-priced make up that would usually cost pennies in the USA.

Thankfully IMATS was showcasing some well known and loved brands with a discount! So, myself along with many others, were more than happy to spend our precious dinero on fabulous make up.

So here it is. My IMATS haul.

Picture time:

First up, I picked up some awesome stuff from Lime Crime, an all vegan cruelty free make up brand that prides itself on its high quality, and highly pigmented products.

My favourite is the Velvetine I bought in 'Red Velvet'. It is stunning.

Next up, a purple lipstick. Yes, purple but very wearable. Its name is Airborne Unicorn & I love it.

And finally the most beautiful eyeshadow palette you would ever lay your eyes upon.
Palette D'Antoinette.

Then I headed off to Inglot. Oh Inglot, how I love thee. I settled for a freedom palette with 4 eyeshadows (329, 30, 107 & 111R)

AMC Multicolour System Matte blush (91).

And Multicolour Bronzing Powder (79).

And finally, Gideon treated me to brand new brushes! They're so pretty and soft and PINK! So cute.

They're the Pink Bambu Complete 14pc. Brush Set from bdellium tools. These brushes are made from 100% Vegan soft synthetic bristles with sustainable bamboo handles. They're 100% cruelty free & hypoallergenic which is awesome!

The haul!

So yeah, that's it!

Did you go to IMATS? What did you buy?

Bye.
